Glass-ceramics are manufactured  through controlled crystallization of a specially formulated glass. Glass-ceramics are impervious and, depending on the crystalline phase, they may have various desired properties. The most common ones are those in the Lithia-alumina-silica system that have zero thermal expansion coefficient, hence no thermal shock problem. The maximum application temperatures for such glass ceramics are about 900 oC, compared with ceramics that normally can be used at much higher temperatures.

We supply three types of glass-ceramics:

  • Basalt type for corrosion and wearing applications

  • White lithia-alumina-silica type with zero thermal expansion, maximum  temperature of 850 oC

  • Transparent lithia-alumina-silica type with zero thermal expansion, maximum  temperature of 850 oC

Please contact us if you have an enquiry.

Technical Glasses:

We can design and supply technical glasses having properties such as low melting, with various thermal expansions and with certain functions.
